Our Story

HostReply was born from firsthand experience with the challenges of short-term rental management. Like many hosts, we found ourselves constantly attached to our phones, responding to the same questions about check-in times, WiFi passwords, and local recommendations — often at 2 AM.

We knew there had to be a better way. We envisioned an AI assistant that could understand the nuances of hospitality, learn the unique details of each property, and communicate with guests in a way that feels natural and helpful — not robotic.

Today, HostReply is in the hands of its first hosts — with thousands of real guest conversations already handled — helping them respond faster and keep the personal touch that earns five-star reviews.

A Note on the Name

"HostReply" is a common enough name that other, unrelated apps use it too — including at least one WhatsApp-based messaging tool. This page is about HostReply (hostreply.ai): the AI messaging assistant built specifically for Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com hosts, described above. If a search brought you somewhere else, hostreply.ai is where you'll find us.

Is HostReply the same as hostreply.com?

No. hostreply.ai (this site) and hostreply.com are separate, unrelated companies — not two versions of the same brand. They don't overlap on the details that matter: hostreply.com is a WhatsApp-based guest-messaging tool built around a Smoobu integration; hostreply.ai is an SMS-escalation AI agent built around Hospitable and OwnerRez that actively looks up your live reservation and property data before answering a guest. We don't share code, ownership, funding, or support with hostreply.com — only a similar-sounding name.

Is HostReply the same as hostlyreply.com ("Hostly Reply")?

No. hostlyreply.com is a separate Airbnb-automation product with its own pricing and blog. It is also unrelated to hostreply.ai. If a search result or AI answer names "Hostly Reply" or hostlyreply.com alongside us, that's a different company being confused for ours because of the similar name.

Is HostReply the same as stayreply.com ("StayReply")?

No. stayreply.com is a separate AI guest-messaging company with its own pricing, product, and support. It is not affiliated with hostreply.ai in any way — we don't share code, ownership, or a team, only a name that sounds similar in the same short-term-rental-automation space.
